New arrivals by Eres!

We are still in the process of receiving our huge shipment of stunning lingerie from the Winter 2010 Eres collection, which is inspired by some of my very favorite things: Berlin cabaret, strong and liberated women like Simone de Beauvoir, and the Jazzy Saint Germain des Prés Spirit.  Before the new styles hit the webstore, we wanted to share with you some of the phenomenal images from their lookbook, with model Tiah Eckhardt channeling Joanie from Mad Men. Colors like the red-orange "Rouquine," the peppery grey "Grip Poivre," and the daring cobalt "Atlantis," coupled with graphic,  architectural lines and chevron patterns call to mind the Orientalism of the 1920s, but with a decidedly fashion forward slant (you'd be hard-pressed to find a persimmon lace multifunctional soft bra with hidden underwire in a Mall store!)  All of this proves, once more, that the designers at Eres are truly the masters of crafting fine lingerie.  Sadly, they have closed their US stores, but we will continue to carry the brand for as long as the fashionable ladies of Portland demand it! New Stella McCartney Lookbook

We have just received our first shipment of gorgeous lingerie from Stella McCartney's Fall/Winter 2010 collection, and we are thrilled to report that she has managed to drop the price point on old favorites like the Eve Giggling Underwire Bra and Bikini while maintaining her high level of quality construction and superior fit - miraculously! The Molly Humming strapless bra, bikini and french knicker are back in black, just in time for Fall. This is the perfect set for all your holiday cocktail parties, which may seem like light years away now, but will creep up before you know it.  Also en route are the sets pictured above in the mushroom/petal pink color family.  As I'm sure you can all imagine, I am brimming with anticipation over these Lille-like styles that so embody our aesthetic.  Keep an eye on the blog, Facebook or Twitter page to be the first to hear about these new arrivals, because they are sure to fly out the door (we're already sold out of M and L bikinis in the Eve Giggling, but we've managed to snag a few more, so they'll be back, but act fast on the bras because quantities are limited!)

Incoming: Lonely Hearts

Ok, I'll admit...it's a little early to post this, as we won't receive the shipment for several weeks, but I'm so enthusiastic about the impending arrival of the New Zealand lingerie line, "Lonely Hearts," (exclusive to Lille for Portland) that I just couldn't keep the news to myself any longer.  I'm really digging the sexy librarian vibe in this photo shoot, but perhaps that is because I am now interminably stuck in glasses due to an unfortunate diagnosis of "Extreme Dry Eye." As such, I am revisiting the aesthetic sensibility I had at age 12 and trying desperately to convince myself that this time around, it will be different.  No one will laugh at my flat chest or call me Four Eyes, or worse yet, reference my membership in the spitefully nick-named "An-Clan," a band of outcasts singled out for the distinct inability to gain weight or fill a training bra, despite our best efforts.  Perhaps if this sort of imagery depicting cute nerd-girls had been prevalent during my adolescence, I wouldn't have suffered the typical teen angst and crippling insecurity that so many of us went through.  Alas, the reigning sex symbol of the 90s was Pamela Anderson, and the best-selling bra in America was none other than The Wonderbra.  There was nary a slender bespectacled hottie in pop culture (that kept the glasses on rather than tossing them off to make the transition to legitimate sexpot - but I always wondered, how could she get around without her glasses?  I wear mine in the shower!) Lonely Hearts is pretty much the opposite of all that.  Need I say more?  Rather than prattle on and on about the clever styling, youthful designs and downright sexiness of this brand, I'll just share their fantastic photos with you....Enjoy!
